Bernie Sanders Comes Out Hard Against Artificially Unwoke Robots

Seventy-seven year old Independent Senator Bernie Sanders has tossed his abacus in the ring for the crowded 2020 Democrat primary and, like all the 1010011 other declared candidates, is on the stump both IRL and online. So it’s no surprise he’d tweet a campaign message.
But maybe a touch surprising that it’s a stand against AI and robots that are working for “the man.”
Sanders tweeted on Sunday afternoon that he is running for president because “we need to understand that artificial intelligence and robotics must benefit the needs of workers.” That those robots should not just serve to benefit “corporate America and those who own the technology.”
I'm running for president because we need to understand that artificial intelligence and robotics must benefit the needs of workers, not just corporate America and those who own that technology.

The issue of automated systems, AI, and even robotic replacements for human beings in low-level jobs has come up as an issue periodically, with regard to the displacement of those who depend on such jobs for income.
Whether or not the robots are woke enough to spread the wealth around is not as common a topic. But it is 2019, so… beep boop resist?
