Bill Maher: Democrats ‘Cannot F*ck This Up’ in 2020

Bill Maher asked in the Overtime segment of his show last night who exactly the Democrats have up their sleeve for 2020, saying, “We cannot fuck this up.”

He pointed out that last year, everyone thought Trump was a loser because of how competent Hillary Clinton was, but she lacked the right charisma and a lot of people felt a better connection with Trump.

Former Congressman Barney Frank said he’s exaggerating here because of how slim Trump’s 2016 margin was and also how unpopular he currently is. Maher pointed out that everyone underestimated Trump last year and he still won.

He proposed that California Lieutenant Governor and gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom should run in 2020.
