Bill Maher: Democrats Shouldn’t ‘Take the Bait’ Every Time Trump Goes Off

Bill Maher got a lot off his chest about the impeding Donald Trump presidency and how Democrats need to get their act together.

In speaking with ATTN:, Maher said Trump’s Cabinet selection shows he’s “just fucking with people.” But he’s a little alarmed by what he refers to as a “slow moving coup” happening in the country.

Maher said that the FBI and Russia were “both working to elect Donald Trump,” and as far as he’s concerned those two factors singlehandedly cost Hillary Clinton the election. He even invoked fascism again to warn about what could be coming.

As for the Democrats, he said the party needs to “go where the energy is in the party” because Clinton certainly did not have it.

Maher also warned that Democrats getting “baited on an issue of political correctness when no one gives a fuck.”

He cited Trump’s pronouncement that we’ll be saying Merry Christmas again and said Democrats should not “take the bait on all this stuff.”
