Billionaire Clinton Donor Says Leaving Paris Accord Would Be a ‘Traitorous Act of War’

Environmentalist billionaire Tom Steyer preemptively unloaded on Donald Trump on Sunday, days before the President’s climate change announcement.
Steyer, who endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and donated heavily to her campaign, issued a statement on Twitter which bluntly contended that “if Donald Trump pulls the United States out of the Paris agreement he will be committing a traitorous act of war against the American people.”

The left-wing billionaire denounced the President’s “greedy, selfish, and immoral decision,” and underlined that Mr. Trump “abdicated American leadership and sent a clear message to both our allies and enemies alike: In the search for courageous and moral solutions to the challenges of the 21st century, don’t count on America to lead.”
Steyer is also tied to Mrs. Clinton through her family’s Clinton Foundation. A September 2013 press release from the controversial foundation revealed the billionaire’s active participation in their “Too Small To Fail” initiative.”
Despite these connections, Mrs. Clinton campaign chairman, John Podesta, attacked Steyer in a July 2015 e-mail that was revealed in Wikileaks’ document dump in 2016.
