Blue Checked Twitter Shreds Joe Biden Over His Prediction That Republicans Will Work With Him as POTUS
Political observers are rolling their eyes at Joe Biden‘s prediction that the Republican Party will suddenly get a lot more interested in bipartisanship once Donald Trump is no longer president.
The former vice president took questions from reporters on Tuesday as he travelled through New Hampshire to rally support for his 2020 presidential bid. During the Q&A, Biden said that the GOP will have an “epiphany” once Trump’s time in the White House is up.
“The thing that will fundamentally change things is with Donald Trump out of the White House (sic),” Biden said (via CNN’s David Wright). “Not a joke. You will see an epiphany occur among many of my Republican friends.”

The remarks are getting a lot of traction on Twitter — as many observers seriously doubt the Republican Party will experience a spontaneous metamorphosis upon a change in leadership.
Ain’t a chance in heck this happens… but the idea of working with Republicans polls well among Democrats. https://t.co/bMz9L46l2w

Biden thinking McConnell will wake up after a Trump loss and be all “hey so, sorry for all that racism I did with Trump. Crazy times, right? Anyway, let’s just do universal healthcare and call it even” is so on brand for him. I bet he faxed those ideas to Maureen Dowd
