At Least 7 Dead in Ohio Mass Shooting (UPDATED)


Multiple outlets out of Ohio are reporting that there at at least seven people dead in a shooting at a home outside of Peebles, Ohio.

According to Fox News, the shooting occurred at a home outside Cincinnati Friday. Reuters is reporting that the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s crime scene unit was dispatched to the home in Pike County, Ohio, about 75 miles east of Cincinnati.

No arrests have been made, according to a report from Michael Throne with the Chillicothe Gazette. The Gazette’s Sara Nealeigh took to Twitter to indicate that at this time, there may be “multiple scenes” involved with the incident:

Schools in the area are on lockdown.

UPDATE — 10:51 a.m. ET: NBC4 is reporting that law enforcement sources indicate that there are a total of three scenes and seven victims at this time near Piketon, Ohio, along the border between Pike and Adams County.

UPDATE — 11:54 a.m. ET: Ohio Governor and Presidential candidate John Kasich took to Twitter to offer his sentiments regarding the tragedy.
