NBC’s Lester Holt Told: ‘Shots Fired, Run’ at LAX Airport (UPDATED)
Los Angeles International Airport appeared to be in a state of panic after reports of an active shooter circulated. Police are investigating the scene, though video that’s been posted on Twitter shows a chaotic scene as investigators try to make sense of the situation.

UPDATE – 12:34 a.m. ET: Details are still coming in from LAX, with certain indicators suggesting that a shooting has not yet been determined, and that it might have been a false alarm.

Lester Holt followed up his original tweet with a new status report:
Witness tells me she heard "pops" in lax term 4. Others say they just heard "run!" Those evacuated to Tarmac just allowed back in.

At least one terminal has been evacuated, and around the airport has reportedly been brought to a halt. CBS reports that the LAPD heard from two callers reporting a shooting, but again, they haven’t made a confirmation yet.
