Brit Hume, Soledad O’Brien Clash Over Trump’s Visit to Troops: ‘Try Not to be Such an A**hole in 2019’

Fox News’ Brit Hume and former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien had at it on Wednesday night as they debated whether President Trump only went abroad to visit members of the U.S. military because of public pressure to do so.
The commotion began after Hume took shots at Alyssa Milano and others who criticized Trump for supposedly being the first president since 2002 to not visit American forces during the Christmas season. These criticisms came before it was publicly confirmed that Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were visiting troops in Iraq.
By the time this was posted, the President and Mrs. Trump were in Iraq with the troops. https://t.co/g9ACNO5hxn

O’Brien saw Hume’s tweet, and she responded by suggesting Trump might’ve gone to visit troops in a combat zone out of shame for not having done so before.
Shaming him seems to work. https://t.co/KMSPnDAPyE

And from there, the fight got underway:
Yes, Ma’am. Trump read this tweet when it was posted and time-traveled himself back to yesterday and flew to Iraq. Genius take.

Then why’d you post your tweet in response to one that was about a tweet sent today? Your tweet was ridiculous.

While critics are happy to see Trump visit troops serving in hostile territory, they are less pleased with how he politicized the moment by using it to take shots at his political rivals.
