Carson: Devout Muslims Could Only Love America If They’re ‘Schizophrenic’

Ben Carson said today that because Islamic values and American values are so different, the only type of religious Muslim who could possibly love America and embrace its values is a “schizophrenic” one.

In an interview on Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM today, Carson was asked how “Sharia-compliant Muslims” living in America could possibly accept this nation’s values. Carson answered, “Only if they’re schizophrenic.”

He argued that they’s just too contradictory and the idea of America is that it welcome everyone as long as the people coming here accept its values and freedoms.

Carson, of course, infamously said that he wouldn’t like the idea of a Muslim serving as President of the United States until they renounced Sharia first.
