Chelsea Handler Appears to be Calling For a Military Coup Against Trump
TV personality Chelsea Handler called for a military coup against President Donald Trump today, and in Trump-ian fashion, did it via Twitter.
To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief…the longer U wait to remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history.
— Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) August 11, 2017
Yes, Handler wants to break the United States’ 228 year streak of not having to take military action against its president — telling the nation’s generals that their complacency will lead to them being viewed negatively in history.
The last known U.S. military coup plot to be discovered was in 1933 when retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler claimed wealthy businessmen were planning to create a fascist veterans’ organization with him as its leader, and use it to overthrow President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
As usual when comedians/actors tweet political opinions, Twitter isn’t responding kindly.
You're a moron! You should never tweet while drinking… oh, my bad, you're always drunk. Carry on you liberal twit.

Do you comprehend that you have called for the military to overthrow the government? Treason. Because you cannot get over an election.

Criticism has not stopped Handler from having her very public political opinions, though. Most recently she tweeted “Wouldn’t it be nice 2 have laws here for people who think racism is funny?” Other tweets include her saying we need someone in office who never speaks and predicting the U.S. is headed towards being a military state.
