Christie: If I Were President-Elect, ‘I Wouldn’t Let General Flynn in the White House’

You may remember that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie headed up Donald Trump‘s transition team before Mike Pence did, and today he reiterated that he had concerns about Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

In remarks flagged by CNN, Christie expanded upon comments he made weeks ago when he said Flynn wasn’t his “cup of tea.”

He said, “I didn’t think that he was someone who would bring benefit to the President or to the administration, and I made that very clear to candidate Trump, and I made it very clear to President-elect Trump.”

And he rather bluntly added, “If I were president-elect of the United States, I wouldn’t let General Flynn in the White House, let alone give him a job.”

Just today reports came out saying Flynn would plead the Fifth and decline the Senate Intel Committee subpoena.
