Cindy Adams Follows Up on Chuck Todd Goatee Diss: ‘More Fluff than Panda Bao Bao’

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams is not done talking about NBC Meet the Press host Chuck Todd‘s goatee, which she previously called “hideous.”

We picked up her past remark, which was buried at the bottom of one of her columns, and we noted that Todd has said he lets his gingery beard grow out because it reminds him of his late father. (It was subsequently reported on by Fox News’s Howard Kurtz on his Sunday show, though he unfortunately did not give Mediaite credit.)

Adams followed up on Todd’s face fuzz in her latest column:

For dissing Chuck Todd‘s mouth and chin goatee and follicles, bloggers made Cindyburgers out of me. Now, if his nostrils sprout more fluff than panda Bao Bao, I’m mum. So shove your charming phrases, like CA “should wax her own mustache.” Me, I don’t care, but Tom Selleck is offended … Poster boy of the ’80s Bernie Goetz around sporting a marijuana drawing on a T-shirt. He favors a puff.

We don’t know what much of that means but Bao Bao is an animal housed at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. and the quote about Adams waxing her mustache appears to be a reference to a comment on our previous post that imagined what would happen if someone told Adams to “wax her old lady mustache.”

We asked Todd last week what he thought about Adams’ mustache mockery.

Todd’s response: “Who is Cindy Adams?”
