Clinton Advisor After Reading Paid Wall Street Speeches: ‘It’s Pretty Bad’

Hillary Clinton 7Another hacked email released by Wikileaks reveals the frank dialouge between the Hillary Clinton campaign and her advisors after reviewing the content of her paid speeches to financial giant Goldman Sachs.

In 2016, Clinton aide Tony Carrk sent the text of three speeches to his fellow Clinton staffers, but also Democratic strategist Mandy Grunwald, a close ally to Clinton ever since her days as First Lady. Grunwald was blunt in her assessment: “It’s pretty bad,” she said in an email.

“She is critical to some extent of what led to the crash but the more memorable stuff is totally accomodationist,” Grunwald said. “‘I’m not interested in pointing fingers,’ Dodd-Frank was just because ‘people needed to do something for political reasons,’ suggesting that people in the industry know best how to regulate it…”

“There are also some very tepid comments about Obamacare,” she continued.

Ironically– given the accusations Clinton would later level against Donald Trump— Grunwald also worried that she came across as too friendly with Russia. “A ton of foreign policy stuff, including some naive sounding comments about Putin — that could cause a whole separate set of issues,” she noted.
