CNN Cuts Off Don Lemon’s Mic After He Starts Saying 2016 Was ‘Awful’ (UPDATE)

CNN decided to cut Don Lemon’s mic tonight as it seemed like he was about to talk about how much he disliked 2016.

Lemon was covering New Year’s Eve alongside Brooke Baldwin in New Orleans, and their shenanigans of the night already resulted in Lemon getting his ear pierced. Soon after New Orleans transitioned into the new year in local time, Lemon’s mic conspicuously went dead just as soon as he said 2016 was “awful.”

Throughout his broadcast, Lemon was shown enjoying a few drinks with fellow revelers as the night went on. Lemon noted this on air at one point, saying “yeah I’m lit. Who cares?”
