CNN, MSNBC Anchors Respond After Dana Loesch Slams Networks for MD School Shooting Coverage
The Maryland school shooter today was stopped by an armed resource officer, and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch invoked that in taking a swipe at the media today.
"We won't see any stories on @CNN, on @MSNBC, on any of those talking head circuits about this hero, this [Great Mills High School] armed resource officer, who did the opposite of what Scot Peterson did…what @browardsheriff did…what @RobertwRuncie did." —@DLoesch #NRA pic.twitter.com/bmuW6sGjX3

“I’m assuming that we won’t see any stories tonight on CNN, on MSNBC, on any of those talking head circuits, about this hero, this armed resource officer, who did the opposite of what Scot Peterson did, who did the opposite of what Sheriff Israel did… and he stood up for those students.”
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle and Ali Velshi, along with CNN’s Jake Tapper reacted by pointing to the coverage their networks did:
FACT CHECK- this morning on @msnbc, we praised & thanked the brave & skilled resource officer at Great Mills High School. If @NRATV or @DLoesch would like to rewatch the segment @VelshiRuhle digital clips are available on our website. https://t.co/fUhsY0WMWF

Actually, @DLoesch, @SRuhle & I discussed it at length on @VelshiRuhle on @MSNBC 11aET this morning. cc: @NRATV https://t.co/q5czZoI6wY

You mean like this one? https://t.co/hRmGuein5h

And Loesch responded:
That’s fantastic. I’m sure you noted the time span between my video and the time CNN's article was published. I’m glad CNN is covering defensive gun use in a positive light.

How did I miss it when it didn’t exist when I discussed it on air in original video? Please explain what magic makes that work. Thanks.

I remarked this morning on media’s (typical) lack of coverage re DGU and the heroic Maryland resource officer. *After* my video the stories appeared. I’m glad they either listened or covered.
