‘Dearest Tampa…’: Amy Schumer Responds to Audience Walk-Outs With Biting Letter
In Tampa earlier this week, politically-inclined comedian Amy Schumer had about 200 attendees of a show walk out after she started insulting Donald Trump. (For the record, it’s a known fact that she really hates him.)
At a show last night in New York City, she read a letter she’d written to her Tampa fans (and haters).
“Dearest Tampa,” it began. “I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?”
It only got more scathing from there. Watch — well, mostly listen — above, courtesy of YouTube user havaiemail00.
