Democratic Poll Finds Hillary Clinton Trailing Multiple Republicans in Iowa

Hillary ClintonA new poll from Democratic polling firm Public Policy Polling finds that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton loses in a direct match-up with four Republican candidates in the crucial swing state of Iowa.

Clinton is most outmatched in the Hawkeye State by Ben Carson, who beats her 44-40. Carson is followed by Mike Huckabee (44/43), Scott Walker (44/43), and Marco Rubio (43/42). Clinton still wins in head-to-head match-ups with the rest of the Republican field, with the worst performing Republican candidate, Jeb Bush, trailing Clinton by four points.

The same poll found that Clinton’s favorables in Iowa are underwater. Only 38% of Iowans have a positive opinion of Clinton, compared to 52% who have a negative opinion and 10% who aren’t sure. The only candidates with higher unfavorability in the state are Republicans Rand Paul (53%) and Donald Trump (57%).
