Democratic Sen. Unloads on VA Nominee Ronny Jackson: We Were Told He Was Abusive, ‘Repeatedly Drunk’ on Duty
Senator Jon Tester (D- MT) disclosed some of the information senators received on Dr. Ronny Jackson, President Trump‘s nominee to be VA Secretary, and it’s pretty stunning.
Tester said on NPR the allegations include “improper dispensing of prescription drugs, repeatedly drunk while on duty while traveling, and creating a toxic work environment.”
He emphasized again that Jackson was drunk while on duty “where his main job was to take care of the most powerful man in the world.”
“That’s not acceptable,” he added.
As for the work environment, Tester said they’ve heard he was “abusive” to people and belittled others around him, “creating an environment where the staff felt they needed to walk on eggshells.”
