Did President Trump Just Copy and Paste a Tweet From Texas Shooting and Send it to California Victims?

Is America plagued by so many mass shootings that our president has a “template” he copy and pastes into Twitter to dole out thoughts and prayers? Yeah, maybe.

Earlier this month, as our country reeled from the horrific mass shooting at a Texas church, President Donald Trump sent out this tweet, letting Americans know he was monitoring the situation from abroad.

Now that he’s back from Asia, Trump has been tweeting up a storm. In one such tweet, now deleted, he offered his condolences to the victims of another mass shooting, occurring at a California elementary school, among other locations.

The only problem? He sent out an extremely similar tweet to the one offered to victims of the Texas shooting, going as far as to actually same the city where the earlier shooting occurred, Sutherland Springs.

The tweet stayed on his timeline for hours, but was eventually deleted. Strangely, Trump did not compose a replacement message, offering substantive words reflecting on our nation’s latest tragedy. He did, however, issue a tweet to promote an upcoming appearance on Fox & Friends.

On Nov. 5, 25 people were killed during a mass shooting in a church, with dozens more being injured. On Nov. 14, an unnamed shooter went on a 45-minute rampage at various locations in northern California, including an elementary school, killing 5 people and injuring 10 more.

With all of these mass shootings occurring with alarming regularity, can anyone blame President Trump for getting them mixed up?
