Distilleries Are Already Pitching to Obama, McConnell to Host ‘Bourbon Summit’

 

We seem to have this weird fascination with political summits, and it continued yesterday when President Obama suggested having a bourbon with Mitch McConnell and #bourbonsummit was born. And of course distilleries immediately jumped on this as a great opportunity to offer their services in the name of bipartisanship.

Here’s a lot of the pitches that have permeated social media in the past day:

The two strongest pitches so far have come from the Distilled Spirits Council and the Kentucky Distillers Association, both of which have been going all-out with the #bourbonsummit trend:

Well, now they just have to hold the summit now.
