Dog Accidentally Starts a Fire in NJ House

How many times has this happened to you? You’ve all left the house, except for the dog, and one of you put your laptop on the stove. But while you’re out, the dog accidentally turns on the stove, which burned the laptop, which caused fire to start spreading through the house.

Yeah, obviously that happens all the time.

But it actually did happen at a New Jersey house late last week. Police and firefighters responded to reports of a fire last Friday, and put the fire out inside the house.

Only the dog was inside––no humans––and the official statement from the fire department on what happened is that the dog turned the stove on, the laptop burned up, and the fire started.

Perhaps this is appropriate.
