The Drudge Report wasted no time in taking a vicious victory lap Thursday after the jury reached a verdict in former President Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial, dedicating the front page to a bright red, all-caps declaration of all 34 guilty counts.

Literally. As in, the top headline shortly after the news broke was the word “GUILTY” written 34 times.

The ex-president was facing 34 felony counts for falsifying business records regarding alleged hush money payments to cover up extramarital affairs before the 2016 election — a historic first-ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president. Late Thursday afternoon, Judge Juan Merchan announced that he was sending the jury home to return on Friday for a third day of deliberations when he quickly reversed that and told a stunned courtroom that the jury had sent a note saying that they had a verdict and asking for 30 more minutes to fill out the verdict form.

Shortly thereafter, the jury came in the room and the 34 counts were read aloud — guilty on each one.

The online news aggregator founded by Matt Drudge has been a frequent target of the ex-president’s ire for promoting news he viewed as unfavorable, and has been giving prime real estate on the website to news as this trial — and Trump’s three other pending criminal cases — has progressed.

Thursday was no exception.

“GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY” was the headline, underneath a photo of Trump looking sullen as he sat at the defense table.

Trump will be sentenced on July 11, mere days before the presumptive Republican nominee is set to take the stage at the Republican National Convention, which begins on July 15.
