Duke Porn Star: Piers Interview Shows Women Can’t Win in ‘Patriarchal Society’

Duke University porn star Belle Knox dropped by HuffPost live this week to talk about, well, everything that’s happened to her since she was outed by a fellow student. One of the topics she hit on was her interview with Piers Morgan, which she said was representative of how women can’t win in a “patriarchal society.”

In the interview, Morgan told Knox that she’s obviously a bright person, being a student at Duke and all, and so he didn’t understand how she didn’t imagine this kind of public attention she would get for her profession.

Knox believes there’s a “catch-22” in Morgan’s comment that shows how there’s “no way for women to win in this patriarchal society.”

“If I was a girl who was doing porn and I was not going to school, he would’ve said to me, ‘You’re doing nothing with your life, you have no future plans.’ I’m in school, I’m getting my education, I’m doing things with my life, and I’m getting criticized too.”
