Egyptian Government Investigating Porn Video Filmed at the Pyramids

Egyptian authorities are none too pleased that a Russian woman potentially filmed a pornographic video at the site of the country’s historic Pyramids at Giza, and an investigation has been launched at the request of a high-level Egyptian official.

The woman, known as “Aurita” in the 10-minute video, repeatedly complains about the “boring” pyramids and at one point says, “this f*cking sucks. What is there to look at?” Throughout the video, she flashes different body parts toward the camera regardless of the fact that there are hundreds of tourists in the vicinity. The video, according to the Daily Mail, ends with a graphic sex scene.

“A set of sexually explicit scenes was illegally filmed inside the Giza Necropolis by a foreign tourist while visiting the site,” Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damati said in a statement, according to News Time Africa.

Because of this incident, critics are calling on the Egyptian government to enhance security at the historic site. One prominent Egyptologist even said al-Damati should resign “if camera records confirm the filming of this video,” and that such actions “demean Egyptian civilization.”

Initially prompted by local news reports, authorities in Egypt had quickly denied the authenticity of the video. Some screengrabs from the video are below, courtesy of the Daily Mail:
