Ex-Sony Employees File Suit, Claim Sony Made Personal Info Vulnerable to Hackers

The fallout from the hack on Sony Pictures just keeps getting worse, and now ex-Sony employees are filing a lawsuit against the company due to personal information potentially being compromised.

The lawsuit, according to TMZ, says that these employees (who left Sony before the hacking) believe Sony failed to protect their records adequately before their cyberdefenses were breached by the “Guardians of Peace.”

They are worried hackers have access to thousands of Social Security numbers, financial records, and other personal information. They are seeking monetary damages, as well as five years of identity theft protection, credit restoration, and bank monitoring.
