Exec Testifying to Congress Flies Drone Around During Hearing

There was a drone in a Congressional hearing today. And no, not of the congressman-who-spoke-so-long-and-was-so-boring-he-put-everyone-to-sleep kind.

No, an actual flying drone.

Colin Guinn, the senior vice president of sales for 3D robotics, testified before the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee today and showed the committee members the Parrot Bebop drone.

The drone flew around a bit before falling on the floor. Once it stopped flying, Guinn said, “Alright, we all saw a drone fly. Fantastic! Incredible!” A member of the committee asked why they couldn’t have flown the drone closer to where they were sitting.
