The FBI agent who was kicked off the special counsel investigation reportedly changed the language James Comey used to describe Hillary Clinton‘s actions in the email investigation.
According to CNN, citing several sources, Peter Strzok “changed Comey’s earlier draft language describing Clinton’s actions as “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless.”
Last month, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley said that an earlier draft of Comey’s public statement had used the phrase “grossly negligent,” and at the time CNN reported that Comey and others at the FBI were “playing with the language throughout.”
CNN’s report today on Strzok again says a “handful of people” were reviewing the language.
Strzok was removed from the Mueller probe due to texts with reported “anti-Trump sentiments.”
