Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway Fails to Note She’s a Fox News Contributor in Column Defending Fox News
Right-wing pundit Mollie Hemingway published a piece defending Fox News after the DNC opted to bar them from moderating debates but failed to disclose that she is currently a paid contributor for the network.
In fact, Hemingway — who also works as an editor for The Federalist, a conservative opinion site started by serial plagiarist Ben Domenech — doubled down by mocking a Vox writer who noted the Fox News contributor’s failure to disclose her obvious conflict of interest.
“Dang it!! I was trying to keep it a secret, made more difficult by appearing on Fox News most nights,” Hemingway tweeted, before mockingly adding, “Such as tonight, on Special Report at 6 pm.”

For obvious reasons, writers are expected to disclose if they are paid by a company they are defending in a published piece.
As for the DNC refusing to play ball with Rupert Murdoch, the party’s chairman Tom Perez made the announcement after The New Yorker‘s Jane Mayer published a bombshell report detailing the problematic, intimate relationship between President Donald Trump and Fox News. In her response, Hemingway targetted Mayer specifically, wildly calling the award-winning investigative reporter a “liberal journalist” who actually engages in “far-left activism.”
“The question is, why do establishment Republicans allow Republicans to be treated as second-class citizens?” wrote Hemingway, who has been with Fox News for two years. “They sit back and lamely accept the false narrative that Fox is a crazy right-wing propaganda network while the other media outlets are treated as straight news. This is pure gaslighting.”
