Ferguson Looter’s Mom Turns Him in After He Brags on Facebook

Police in Clayton, Mo., say that 19-year-old Brandon Ward has been arrested for looting during the Ferguson-area riots last November after his own mother turned him in.

Ward was watching television when a local news report posted pictures of Ferguson looters still wanted by the police. Like any intelligent criminal, he immediately took a picture of his television screen and posted it on Facebook with the caption, “Lmfao I’m on TV”:

Seeing the Facebook post, his mother contacted the police and he confessed under questioning. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ward’s mother told police that “she wanted them to know she didn’t raise him to be a criminal.”
