FL Official Apologizes for Using N-Word, Claims He Was Protecting Himself
A local Florida official has apologized after using the n-word in a confrontation over a road rage incident. Wilton Manors Commissioner Ted Galatis explained he used it because he felt threatened by the individuals on his property.
According to the police report, Galatis called a woman and the passengers in her car the n-word, and so she followed him in her car back to his home. According to Galatis’ wife, they were shouting things like “White bitch, I’ll slice you up!”
Galatis admitted he used the n-word and apologized, saying, “It is something I never say. I offer no excuse, other than it was uttered when I was being threatened in front of my own home.”
