The South Korean pop star who took the internet by storm with “Gangnam Style” will be in attendance at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Dinner as a guest of CBS News. This marks PSY’s second high-profile appearance in D.C., following his performance last year at the White House Christmas concert, which followed controversy over an anti-American song he rapped a few years ago.
According to Deadline, PSY will be attending the dinner at the CBS table, which will also include Homeland star Claire Danes, her husband and star of NBC’s Hannibal Hugh Dancy, and one of the stars of Hawaii Five-O. Oh, and a bunch of politicians and diplomats.
PSY’s last big appearance in D.C. was marred by controversy over an anti-American video he rapped years before anyone in the U.S. ever heard of him. PSY publicly apologized, but people demanded he not be permitted to perform in the presence of the president.
The main headliner at the White House Correspondents Dinner this year is late night host Conan O’Brien, who appeared with PSY last December at the White House Christmas concert.
