George Bush in Dallas: We Shouldn’t Judge Other Groups by ‘Their Worst Examples’

Former President George W. Bush spoke at the Dallas memorial service today to honor the five fallen police officers and preached a message of unity.

“Too often,” he said, “we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions.”

Bush continued, “And this has strained our bonds of understanding and common purpose.”

The former president expressed the pride of the nation in the courage of the police officers who lost their lives while keeping others safe.
