Glenn Greenwald Calls Out Hannity for Posting #Ads on Twitter
Journalist Glenn Greenwald noticed something strange about Sean Hannity’‘s Twitter feed on Thursday, asking his followers this question:
Is @SeanHannity actually selling the space of his Twitter account for political messages? https://t.co/aJmmifTr6a – https://t.co/R0ms5XNjkz

Might seem that way, suggested Greenwald. Starting this week, Hannity has posted two tweets that promote Stop Hamas Now, a political organization that has been promoting a petition that demands unqualified support of Israel from U.S. leaders. Hannity used the hashtag #Ad for those tweets:
To send a powerful message to the world that America stands with Israel in this battle for her survival, Go to http://t.co/YBqYtFB69o. #Ad

Earlier this month, Hannity used his Twitter account to promote the Silent Circle “Blackphone,” which is used to send encrypted phone calls and texts and is coincidentally a product Greenwald may very well support. Hannity posted three “#ad” tweets for the product on August 4. He has also promoted Silent Circle on his radio show:
Blackphone is THE 21st century smartphone to keep your mobile calls and texts private and secure! Get yours now! http://t.co/D9t9IsJWMq #ad

Anyone who has spent any time watching or listening to Hannity is likely familiar with Stop Hamas Now and their ads like the one below that have played on Fox.
