Google Searches for ‘Did the Holocaust Happen’ Will Direct You Towards a Neo-Nazi Website

People doing web searches on the Holocaust may or may not have noticed recently that there’s a surprising link at the top of Google search results for questions on whether the world’s most infamous genocide actually happened.

Since Sunday night, anyone who types in “did the holocaust happen” on Google will be led to an article about Holocaust-denial from Stormfront.org. Basic searches for the Holocaust will still lead to various links about the event’s actual history, but as of Tuesday, Stormfront’s forum on Holocaust-denial is still number one for searches on ‘Did the Holocaust Happen’ and certain alterations.

While we will not link to the website, Stormfront is a pro-white supremacy site filled with writings in favor of neo-Nazism, racial prejudice, and anti-semitism. Fortune previously reported on the development while raising concerns about how the article’s popularity has put it ahead of links with accurate information about the Holocaust.

“This is hate speech. It’s lies. It’s racist propaganda. And Google is disseminating it,” wrote Guardian columnist Carole Cadwalladr. “This is our internet. And we need to make a decision: do we believe it’s acceptable to spread hate speech, to promulgate lies as the world becomes a darker, murkier place?”

Fortune reached out to Google for comment and received this statement in response:

“We are saddened to see that hate organizations still exist. The fact that hate sites appear in Search results does not mean that Google endorses these views. We do not remove content from our search results, except in very limited cases such as illegal content, malware and violations of our webmaster guidelines.”
