GOP Congressmen Fight over Who’s Taking Duck Dynasty Star to State of the Union

Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson is the most popular belle at the ball. Rep Vance McAllister (R-LA) announced earlier on Tuesday that the son of the recently un-suspended reality TV star was his guest for the big speech:

“I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight’s State of the Union Address as my special guest,” McAllister said in a statement.

But before long Willie had a rival for his affections:

It seems to have been sorted out, with Inhofe the loser:

In fairness, it sounds like McAllister was first, and did receive Robertson’s endorsement in a recent runoff election.

Robertson could use an endorsement of his own; Duck Dynasty’s ratings have suffered since Phil Robertson’s suspension for racist and homophobic remarks in a GQ interview.
