GOP Sen. Jim Inhofe’s Son Dies in Plane Crash

Dr. Perry Inhofe, the son of Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) passed away when his plane went down near Owasso, Oklahoma on Sunday. A source close to Sen. Inhofe confirmed to KOCO on Monday that his son had died in that accident.

Authorities say the pilot of Inhofe’s plan issued an alert at 3:45 p.m. local time on Sunday asking for immediate assistance. The plan went down minutes later in a wooded area five miles north of a local airport.

Dr. Perry Inhofe was an orthopedic surgeon practicing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Duke University in 1984 and St. Louis’ Washington University medical school in 1988.
