GOP Sen. Mike Lee: House Should Cancel Health Care Bill Vote ‘Because They Don’t Have the Votes’

Right now there is a significant problem for Republicans pushing the Obamacare repeal-and-replace plan. There are 52 Republicans in the Senate, and three of their own party’s senators came out today to oppose the American Health Care Act in its current form:

That last senator, Mike Lee, appeared on Fox News tonight and told Martha MacCallum that Republicans should not be getting in line on this because this isn’t what they promised for their health care plan.

Lee said, “I think they should cancel the vote because they don’t have the votes.”

A Politico report tonight says that the White House and GOP leadership do not have enough Republican “yes” votes to pass the House.
