Chill Out, Twitterverse. Bill Cosby Isn’t Dead (The Sequel)

That social media is a stomping ground for attention-seeking Twitterers and blogger is irrefutable fact. Today’s rumor that Bill Cosby is dead, however, is just that: baseless rumor. Despite today’s online flurry over rumors that the iconic actor had died, GossipCop spoke with  Mr. Cosby’s representative this afternoon to confirm that Mr. Cosby is, in fact, just fine.

Moreover, GossipCop notes that this isn’t the first time Mr. Cosby has had to fend off this particular rumor:

It’s bad enough when someone is the victim of one death hoax…

But twice?!

After rumors wrongly claimed in February that actor-comedian Bill Cosby had died, the disgusting hoax is back again.

At the same time, I suppose it’s touching (in a morbid sort of way) to know that even a fake death story can propel your name to the top of Twitter’s Trending Topics.
