Gwen Ifill Expresses Support For Fired Yahoo! News’ David Chalian: ‘God’s Gift To Political Journalism’

 

PBS Anchor Gwen Ifill took to her Twitter account on Wednesday to express her support for David Chalian, the former Yahoo! News Washington Bureau Chief who was let go after he was caught on camera saying that the Romneys are “happy to have a party when black people drown.”

Ifill said that Chalian’s mistake does not change the fact that he is “God’s gift to political journalism.”

She tagged her post with an expression of solidarity with Chalian, showing that she does not agree with Yahoo! News’ decision to fire him over the incendiary remarks about he Republican party’s presidential nominee.
