‘He Vehemently Denied It’: Trump Tweets About Putin, Russian Meddling Resurface After Indictments

Today’s indictments against Russians involved in U.S. election interference led many to look back at past statements made by President Trump, particularly his dismissals of the “hoax.”

Just a reminder that Trump trusted Putin over the consensus view of the US intelligence community because Putin, who orchestrated an attack on American democracy, lied and said that he didn't. Trump is sworn to protect and defend our system, not defend those who attack it. https://t.co/y9AgeHLZp4
