Tonight brings us the first and only winner-take-all Game 5 in the division series round of the baseball playoffs. The LA Dodgers, who managed to stay alive with a Game 4 victory on Tuesday, will fly cross-country to take on the Washington Nationals in the series deciding contest.
The Dodgers were able to stave off elimination in Game 4 behind a mediocre, but good enough performance from their ace, Clayton Kershaw — who went 6.2 innings on short rest to help secure the 6-5 win.
The Dodgers will again turn to a starter on short rest, bringing back Rich Hill, who pitched Sunday, to take the ball Thursday. He’ll be opposed by a fully rested Max Scherzer.
First pitch is at 8:08 p.m. ET. The game will air on Fox Sports 1. Kenny Albert, Harold Reynolds, and Tom Verducci have the call. The action can be streamed free with a cable subscription on pc, cell phone, or tablet via Fox Sports Go — which can be downloaded via the iTunes store, the Google Play store, and the Windows store.
