Husband of Jelly Belly CEO Accidentally Crushes Man to Death with Tank

A man is dead after being crushed to death by a tank driven by the husband of Jelly Belly CEO, Lisa Rowland Brasher.

Brasher, the daughter of fourth-generation candy maker and Jelly Belly chairman Herman Rowland Sr., is married to Dwayne Brasher — the man who accidentally ran over Kevin Wright with one of his father-in-law’s tanks.

Yes, that’s right — Rowland Sr. collects and restores vintage military vehicles. When he’s not too busy overseeing the creation of deliciously unhealthy foodstuffs, he stores his tanks at a facility commonly known as “The Tank Barn.”

According to police, Wright, 54, was sitting atop the tank while Brasher, 62, drove it across a field at a nearby property. When it briefly dipped down a hill, the victim fell off of the vehicle and onto the ground directly in front of it.

“Our family is grieving over this tragic loss,” Herman Rowland said in an official statement to the press. “The gentleman involved in this accident was a passionate person, always ready to lend a hand and we shared the same deep-rooted love of history. To have him die so tragically during our family reunion is impossible to comprehend. We are all still in a state of shock.”

Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the incident.
