Is Apple Buying Up Time Warner?

Screen Shot 2016-05-26 at 4.36.19 PMOkay, no, it doesn’t look like Apple is actually buying up one of the world’s largest media companies. However, it looks like they wanted to, which tells us that Apple itself is now an untouchable behemoth in the industry.

Eddy Cue is the man who is in charge of Apple’s businesses like iTunes and Apple Music. He is also The Man in general because last fall, while at a meeting with Time Warner executives that was ostensibly about putting Time Warner content on Apple’s streaming services, he floated the idea of buying Time Warner altogether. Just buying Time Warner, according to FTVLive.

Clearly, Apple is gunning to produce its own content and wants to back itself with the best in the biz. The company that owns CNN and HBO seems like a good place to start.
