‘It Does Allow Me to Go Around Dishonest Media’: Trump Says There’s ‘No Method’ to His Tweeting

During his interview with Fox & Friends that aired this morning, President Donald Trump weighed in on his use of Twitter, telling the hosts that he uses the social media platform as a way of going around the media.
Asked by co-host Brian Kilmeade if there was a method to his tweeting or if he was just venting, the president responded that neither was the case.
“No method, really,” POTUS stated. “It’s just — it’s not venting either.”
He then went on to explain how he needs to deliver his message directly to the people and not through the “dishonest media.”
“It does allow me to go around dishonest media,” he told the Fox News crew. “I don’t have to go around you folks. I don’t have to go around a lot of the media. But I do have to go around some media.”
Trump added, “I have so many millions of people, it allows me to give a message without necessarily having to go through people where I’m giving them a message and they’re putting it down differently from what I mean.”
He was also asked about calls by Democrats and others for him to limit his tweeting. He provided an interesting response.
“Well, most of the people that want me to stop it are the enemies, I’ll be honest with you,” he noted. “The enemies would like me to stop it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the president expressed that he was unable to name a single time he’s been deserving of criticism and said former President Barack Obama may be behind recent widespread protests.
