John Kerry Gets Fined for Not Shoveling His Snow

You know, if you’re the Secretary of State, you have a lot on your plate. You have to talk directly with other nations on fixing global problems on a daily basis and hope you don’t have an impending crisis from some foreign dictator or terrorist group to deal with.

And this week, John Kerry faced the wrath of none other than the City of Boston.

Yep, Boston officials fined Kerry this week because––get ready for this––he forgot to shovel the snow outside his house. See, Mayor Martin Walsh made it clear he would come down hard on anyone who didn’t shovel outside their homes after the huge blizzard that everyone stopped caring about because it skipped New York but kind of also really screwed with Boston.

Kerry was officially fined $50 this morning, but did not directly receive it because he’s in Saudi Arabia for the funeral of King Abdullah.
