Julia Louis-Drefyus Has Perfectly Reasonable Explanation for Rolling Stone Cover Error
The story that gave the entire media an excuse to report on a naked photo under the guise of caring about a history error has taken a fun new twist today. Julia Louis-Dreyfus provided a rather revealing explanation for why the Constitution on her back included a signature by Declaration signer John Hancock…
First off, here’s the cover in question, because that’s the entire reason you clicked on this post in the first place.

(Insert wolf whistle noise here.)
Last night Louis-Dreyfus laughed off the Hancock of an error with a tweet blaming Mike (one of the bumbling characters on her show Veep).
Hancock signed Dec. of Independence NOT Constitution.Yet another Mike fuck-up.Dummy.#veep #crackexcuse @VeepHBO @mrmattwalsh cc@rollingstone

But today she upped the ante with a throwback tweet revealing that the John Hancock signature predates the rest of the tattoo.
#TBT John Hancock not part of tattoo.It is a birthmark.1962 photo is proof. Apologies 2 @RollingStone #crackexcuse pic.twitter.com/h9fYXGqBSo
