Kellyanne Conway Gives Wacko Advice to Millennials About Fentanyl: ‘Eat the Ice Cream’
Kellyanne Conway isn’t exactly Sarah Palin when it comes to word salads, but sometimes the White House counselor gets close. This is one of those times.
Speaking at Generation Next: A White House Forum – a panel about and for millennials – Conway talked about the dangers of fentanyl, an opioid that has a high risk of addiction and can be lethal when taken in high doses or combined with other substances.
“It has 50 times the potency of heroin, 100 times the potency of morphine,” Conway explained. “Folks are reading the [nutrition] labels, they won’t put any sugar in their body, they don’t eat carbs anymore, and they’re very very fastidious about what goes into their body and then you buy a street drug for five or ten dollars, it’s laced with fentanyl, and that’s it.”
“So I guess my short advice [to millennials] is, as somebody double your age: Eat the ice cream. Have the French fry. Don’t buy the street drug. Believe me, it all works out.”
Twitter was a little weirded out by this thread of reasoning:

Better advice: fentanyl comes in doses so strong that people have to use gloves to apply it to patients because the tiniest exposure on your bare skin can kill you. If you aren’t in immense, chronic pain or dying, it is not the drug for you. https://t.co/0EYtKeaElD
