Latino Victory Fund Pulls Ad Depicting Gillespie Supporters as Confederate Predators
A political ad that sparked an uproar in the Virginia gubernatorial race has been pulled.
On Monday, Latino Victory Fund released an ad depicting a group of diverse children being chased down by Confederate flag-waving truck with a Ed Gillespie campaign bumper sticker on the back.
After receiving heavy backlash from the right, the PAC backtracked and took it down.
They issued this statement:

“We knew our ad would ruffle feathers,” Latino Victory Fund President Cristóbal J. Alex began. “We held a mirror up to the Republican Party, and they don’t like what they see. We have decided to pull our ad at this time. Given recent events, we will be placing other powerful ads into rotation that highlight the reasons we need to elect progressive leaders in Virginia.”
