Law & Order: SVU Will Take On Robert Durst (Again) Because of Course

robert durstLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit will take on Robert Durst in its season premiere this fall because of course.

The long-running procedural has done lots of episodes with crimes pulled from the headlines, including the time they combined Paula Deen and Trayvon Martin for some reason.

But now they’re taking on Durst after the real estate billionaire’s case broke wide open thanks to the HBO documentary series on whether he really killed people.

But this isn’t the first time the Law & Order franchise has done an episode based on Durst’s alleged crimes; a 2002 Criminal Intent episode and a 2004 episode from the main Law & Order series took them on too.
