limbaughRush Limbaugh today, very, very carefully, offered a gentle bit of criticism to Donald Trump that maybe he should stop attacking his GOP rivals and stick to the issues. He reiterated the same point he made after Trump kept attacking Megyn Kelly and said

But lest you think Limbaugh said anything negative about Trump, he was very restrained. He said that Trump attacking Carson as an “okay doctor” is just “obviously not true,” and as for Trump’s personal attack on Carly Fiorina‘s appearance, Limbaugh simply said that even though those comments are probably too much, “I fully expect to have people defend Trump.”

“It may be impolite, it may be rude,” Limbaugh said, “it may be all those things that people say about polite society. It may be totally inappropriate, but ‘appropriate’ and American politics have been strangers for who knows how long now.”

He did point out that “Democrats have said worse about both of these people,” but Trump’s comments “happened to be personal.”
